I used to be terrible at marketing my business, especially online. I didn’ t know it at the time. Looking back now, I can’t believe I did everything wrong. I was guilty of messaging strangers via private message on social media and 9 times out of 10 it would include a link to my opportunity.
I know. I know. That was just awful.
Have you ever received a message like this? I hate to say it but I still do from time to time.
I didn’t realize that I should have been building relationships and connecting. Who is going to say yes to a complete stranger?
I was also guilty of posting my link in the comments of other people’s social media mosts. Ugghhhh, I just cringe now thinking about how spammy, novice and unprofessional I was.
I would try to find pages that were similar to my business and add a link to my opportunity in their posts…
I was doing everything the wrong way. I had this mentality that everything was about me and I was so worried about their wallet and not really them. I would message friends and family with a hidden agenda, asking if I could talk to them about my opportunity.
I was doing it all wrong. And do you know why?
Because that is what I was told to do and that’s what I did.
It’s true that 95% of online marketers try to build their businesses online. Many continue to use these methods because they do not know there is another way.
They are copying what they have been shown or doing what they are told to do by their upline.
Just like I did.
Until I found a better way…
OK I have a few questions below I’d like you to ask yourself. This might feel uncomfortable but it will just prove there is another way.
- When you first private message a complete stranger on social media, have you sent a link to your opportunity?
- Have you ever got removed or reported as a spammer by someone?
- Have you ever posted links to other people’s posts on social media commenting your opportunity or product?
- Do you compulsively talk about your opportunity without anyone asking you to share it?
- You engage people on social media with a hidden agenda.
If you answered yes to any of these questions please do not feel bad. it’s OK.
Just know you are not alone, I did the same thing over and over again and I found out there is a better way.

And you need to learn a NEW SKILL, one that will set you apart from the herd.
The trick is learning to put your message in front of people that are already searching for what you have to offer.
You do this by using ATTRACTION MARKETING
The main idea being attraction marketing is simply putting your products or opportunity in front of people already searching for these products or opportunities.
For example, imagine getting your weight loss products in front of someone already searching for weight loss products on Google.
Imagine putting your business opportunity in front of someone who is already seeking for a new business opportunity on Facebook.
You will no longer need to message everyone and their mother in the hope that their interested in your business.
You’re putting your message in front of people already interested and ACTIVELY searching for what you have to offer!
When you understand this and learn the art of attraction marketing, and how to apply this to your business, it will change your business.
